Welcome to our blog for 2014

Thank you for visiting our blog and thank you Grace for our very first blog of the year.  I would like to introduce the new 'Room 5 Crew'(photo below).  We have had a great start to the year already and I am really looking forward to working with a neat bunch of children this year.  Please place a comment on our blog from time to time.  It helps to keep us all motivated to carry on blogging!  Our blog site is a masterpiece in progress as we hope to continue developing and adding to it over the year...so...WATCH THIS SPACE!

Introducing Room 5 2014! WE ROCK!!!

It's a New  year in room 5. We are looking forward to lots of new learning. Lots of new kids are in Room 5.  We look different from last year. By Grace

Elf seeds.

Yesterday  room 5 planted elf seeds and left
over night and in the morning they grow into candy canes. it awesome. By Kaitlyn.

Plaiting is fun.

Today we did plaiting in the garden while other people were reading. First we tired a knot in the wool then we did the the plait, then we tired another knot on the other side.Then we put a piece of paper underneath. It was awesome.  By Kaitlyn.

Christmas fun

Today we  made chains for the  Wall. We joint each others chains together to Make long chains.  They got huge.  We took them outside so we could see who had the longest.  Then we hung them up in our room. They look amazing. By Molly

Fun water day.

Today the whole school had water day. First we had cups on our heads and carried them to the bucket.
There was water in the cups. We tipped it into the bucket. it was really really hard for everyone it was also fun. Mr walker was squirting people.by patrick 

Three teeth in one day!

It was an exciting day in Room 5 today.  Thomas, Amelie AND Amelia all lost a tooth.  We think the tooth fairy is going to be VERY busy tonight!

Tennis

Today we played tennis with Riley on the tennis courts and I was so excited because we got to roll the ball to the library and back to the court. It was a lot of fun. I am good at tennis. By Jack.

Riverlands Book Character dress-up parade.

Today we had a dress-up day.We had to dress as a book character. There were lots of different costumes  and some of the teachers dressed up too.I went as Miss Carberry. It was funny  when everyone went in the parade. By  Tayla

Junior athletics day.

Today we had junior athletics at Riverlands.We did jumping into the sawdust, high-jump, sack-races and lots more. My favourite was the high-jump. At the end the parents and teachers had  a race with little koalas on spoons. It was funny ! By Thomas.

Making tapa.

Are story is Sina and the Eel.  It is from Samoa.  we made tapa cloths . Half of us are finished .it was fun and awesome they  look lovley now.

Waiting for the steam train

Today our school saw  a  steam train called Jessica.It zoomed past the entire school and it tooted it's horn very loudly.It made our ears hurt but it was very cool.  By Daemon.
